University, community, and financial entities are coming together to form a recognized coalition of concern to address the issue of recidivism. Our fantastic partnerships enable us to impact the lives of our probationer and parolee participants.
Brigham Young University. Researchers and students at BYU work with case managers/probation officers to administer the monthly and annual assessment tool. Faculty at BYU analyze the research results and provide statistical summaries to RealVictory partners. RealVictory meets weekly with our BYU faculty team to address concerns, discuss improvements, and review conduct literature reviews on the latest criminal and behavioral research.
Cricket Communications. Cricket has agreed to provide up to 100 lines of phone service free for RealVictory participants during the entire year participants are being coached by RealVictory Cricket has also redesigned their operations support, at no charge, to work directly with RealVictory staff in order to facilitate their support. They have also committed to conduct a state-wide cell phone drive in behalf of RealVictory.
Synthesis Technology and Research. STAR provides at no charge the automated Phone Coach services, delivered by the Victoryseeker component of STAR's online feedback services. STAR also provides operations support services for Victoryseeker issues.
Fourth District Juvenile Court. Jerry Oler, Chief Probation Officer for the 4th District Juvenile Court coordinates juvenile participation and probation officer interactions with RealVictory and provides a meeting place for the cognitive behavior sessions.
Office of Rural Programs, JJS. We hope to pilot RealVictory within the Office of Rural Programs. Our phone coach model lengthens the time of impact and support but is not tied to a specific geographic location.
University of Utah. Tim Fowles, PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology is currently researching the cell phone automated
Phone Coach program and has valuable experience in integrating professional
follow-up and monitoring with the automated process.
Utah County Adult Probation and Parole. Martene Mackie, Supervisor, Utah County Department of Corrections coordinates adult participation and probation officer interactions with RealVictory and provides a meeting place for the cognitive behavior sessions.
